Lantern Moon...

(Photo:  Lisa Erin Brown)
It's such a beautiful Moon tonight.  That ancient satellite that circles the Earth like clockwork, catching the rays of the hiding Sun.  It's glowing face acting as a lantern in the darkened sky.

My images are roughly seven hours early of the peak Full Moon, a Moon that is partnering the Lunar Eclipse.  We won't get to see it (the Eclipse) in my neck of the woods.  The second of two Eclipses, I wasn't able to witness the first either.  (Watching it online doesn't count...)

No, I just get to look upon my old friend, Moon.

The constant, glowing Moon.

Who Knows If The Moon's
By:  E.E. Cummings

who knows if the moon's
a balloon, coming out of a keen city
in the sky - filled with pretty people?
(and if you and i should

get into it, if they
should take me and take you into their balloon,
why then
we'd go up higher with all the pretty people

than houses and steeples and clouds:
go sailing
away and away sailing into a keen
city where nobody's ever visited, where

always
it's
Spring) and everyone's
in love and flowers pick themselves
